The YouTube video from Baratza calls for a paper clip to be inserted from the bottom to clear all coffee that gets stuck in the machine. I'll clear all the coffee buildup in the machine, then the shoot. I normally clean those and then move onto the actual grinder. What I'll do is take the hopper and rubber slip off, then the grinder with the white base. Wondering if anyone on this sub has any suggestions.or even a replacement model that is comparable. I shopped around for awhile, and researched it on this sub to get some good feedback from real users. I'm pretty frustrated since I use this daily and love its consistency of a grind. I've now cleaned it three times in a row and have not had a good grind since. Then, I tried to grind on #14 for the Aeropress and it immediately clogged with so little beans inserted. I took the pieces apart once again and cleaned it thoroughly. I got an Aeropress for Christmas and went to try it out and it was massively clogged. I primarily use the #19 for drip coffee daily, and use it sporadically for French press, moka pot, and Chemex other settings. Now it clogs almost weekly despite the same beans being used nearly daily. I followed the YouTube video from Baratza on how to properly clean it. I'll take the machine apart once a month to clean the hopper and chute. It worked perfectly fine for four of those months, and I'd check it for clogs regularly.
